Profile:

There’s no doubt that Lua Viegas stays active. Getting creative work done is her default mode, clearly illustrated by an inspiring collection of content on both her website and Instagram (and portfolio below). Originally from Brazil, and now living in London, exploring and capturing the cultural intricacies of different places is something she loves. She recently spent 4 months in Biarritz practicing her French.

There is a fashion-oriented, street-reportage style evident in much of her work, but also a passion for skateboarding and urban culture that shines through. Lua credits a background in graphic design as a foundation for pitching new creative projects and delivering eye-catching and emotive content. She innately gets marketing and branding, and blends technological prowess with craft - such as the handprinted fanzine collab between Metallica x Lovenskate. She can work independently, but also has experience as part of a larger production team, both in the direction of shoots, and capturing action behind the scenes.

A theme she likes to consider in her work is that of “the woman in the city” and the portrayal of females in an urban setting. Asked about her dream project, Lua would love a commission traveling the world capturing the real experiences and perspectives of people - that could be commercial or documentary. She believes community is informed by culture, a deep perspective that deserves to be explored.

Alongside freelance jobs developing creative briefs, delivering content and working on shoots, Lua has plenty of interesting projects in the works including one that combines brands and creators to deliver high quality, relevant content.

Stay closely tuned in to have any hope of keeping up!
